Over the years Green Fountain has had the privilege of sharing beautiful wedding days with our guests. Not one wedding has ever been the same; each occasion is as special and unique as the next. Every couple we've met has had a different vision for their big day and we have had great pleasure making these dreams a reality. Each day has been a wonderful success and very romantic, so we decided to give some thought as to why Green Fountain is the perfect wedding venue.

Choosing the right wedding venue is key to creating a spectacular setting for your special day. A country wedding brings you the best of both worlds – rustic romance in natural surroundings, plus top-class facilities and personalised service. Many brides-to-be are opting out of pricy city packages and impersonal hotels in favour of cosy, more intimate locations off the beaten track.

Preparation and Honeymoon Suite

Green Fountain offers every thing to ensure you and your loved one have a wonderful memorable wedding, and in addition we have the added privilege of being able to offer a villa to the bridal couple which is a full preparation suite.

This villa has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge area with kitchenette and a covered veranda overlooking the dam, and an adjoining room which is set up for the dressing of the bride and her bridesmaids.

It has full length mirrors and dressing tables for hair and make-up, as well as a specially raised clothes hook to keep the wedding dress wrinkle free.

On-Premise Wedding Chapel

Our quaint chapel is a unique venue in which to hold your ceremony, it has a very special atmosphere that will make saying “I do” even more romantic.

The chapel is situated within our stunning grounds so once again there is plenty of opportunity for beautiful photos after you have said your vows.

Reception Facilities

Weddings can be accommodated for between 20 to 120 guests, although the reception itself can cater for up to 140 depending on the table layout chosen.

We understand your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life and as such. our professional banqueting team will be there to look after all your needs and to ensure the smooth and successful management of your wedding.

We will tailor our packages to suit your personal requirements and not only do we promise distinct quality and excellent service, but we also guarantee a memorable experience in style, grace and romance.

The Nguni centre is our largest celebration hall and is a unique venue; set under thatch with slate floor tiles the room has a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. With a specially designed stage for live music, this venue is in a league of it’s own.

Alternatively, you could choose our unique terrace area that lends itself to small intimate wedding receptions. The Milkshed Restaurant & Terrace can seat up to 80 guests and give you just the right mix of space and layout to please your guests.

But if you really need a lot of space, the farm has acres of open grounds and rolling lawns that surround a natural dam, where an outside wedding under a marquee can be set up.

Guest Accommodation

Accommodation at Green Fountain ensures peace and tranquility with an added touch of coziness. Each of the villas is individually decorated and reflects a homely, understated, stylish atmosphere and the bride and groom can select a chalet that suits their own personal taste for their honeymoon suite.

This setting also allows the bride and groom the option of extending their wedding celebrations from a day, to that of a weekend or a whole week by accommodating their guests at the Resort. Their guests would have plenty of activities on the resort and in and around Port Alfred to ensure they enjoy their stay, from it’s very own golf driving range to horse riding trails, fishing on the Kowie River, magnificent beaches and scuba diving which are just some of the additional activities that are offered in and around Port Alfred

Service and Pricing

We custom design the menus according to the bridal couple's dreams and desires. A venue hire fee is payable and includes the following:

• Use of the chapel
• Use of the Banquet Hall
• Set up of the venue with standard chairs, tables, cutlery, crockery and glasses - NO linen
• Waiters and bar staff (Gratuity excluded, paid at your discretion)      

The following will be the Bridal Couple's responsibility and for their account:

• Cost of the meal
• Flowers
• Drapes and Fairy lights
• Table cloths, chair covers, overlays and napkins
• Minister
• Photographer
• Music/DJ
• Bar arrangements will be designed to the couple's requirements, e.g.. bar tab, cash bar, limited tab, etc., etc

Cancellations and Refunds

** All cancellations will be subject to an administration fee of 15% of the total booking value.

** A Refund of the balance of the deposit paid will be as follows:

• Less than 10 days notice NO refund
• More than 9 days notice, but less than 30 days 50% of the balance of the deposit
